The PWTAG guidelines state that balance tanks should be inspected annually and cleaned if necessary. Regular balance tank cleaning helps ensure that the pool water is clear, blue and sparkling.
During the inspection process any remedial work will be highlighted and recommended actions reported.
This process is carried out by ‘confined spaces’ trained engineers, using escape tripods, oxygen monitors and the required H&S equipment.
Any debris present is removed from the tank, surfaces are sprayed with hypochlorite and jet washed as necessary to remove any biofilm that may be present.
